Cici Lai is a Chinese artist majored in  jewellery and textile based in Calgary, Canada. She also has a passion for fashion design and ceramic making. Her interest in and attention to different areas of art enables her to constantly explore new art and craft possibilities and create eye-catching works by combining different materials. Cici's works are all handmade and unique. Through the combination of creative concepts and exquisite craftsmanship, practical jewelleries, accessories, and clothing are created. Recent research directions include the idea of memory and jewellery's wearability. Cici was graduated from the MFA Craft Media program in Alberta University of the Arts in 2023, and OCAD University's Material Art and Design program in 2021, and has studied fashion design as an exchange student at Winchester School of Arts (University of Southampton) in the UK.
